CANDIDATE MUST HAVE HISTOLOGY EXPERIENCE!

• Perform routine histotechnology, including tissue processing, embedding, cutting, and staining of skin biopsies.
• Perform routine special stains.
• Perform immunohistochemistry stains.
• Develop proficiency in all aspects of anatomic computer system.
• Accession specimens while maintaining a safe working environment.
• File slides and blocks.
• Maintain quality processes and records.
• Maintain and troubleshoot instruments.
• Assist in preparing for and maintaining CAP Accreditation.
• Coordinate with Medical Director and ordering physicians.
• Other duties as required.

Requirements
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum requirement NAACLS/CAAHEP histology program;
• Associate Degree in a biologic science with 1 year histotechnologist experience OR
High School diploma and 2 years experience in histotechnologist experience
• Experience with immunohistochemistry preferred.
